Maruti Suzuki is readying its first proper SUV for the Indian market. The upcoming Maruti Jimny 5-door is likely to launch in early 2023. However, ahead of its debut, its test mules are roaming around the Delhi-NCR. Again, a test car has been spied on a highway run. The newest of spy shots have revealed the red interior design and new features of the upcoming SUV. Read below for details.
Maruti Jimny 5-Door Interior Details
Speaking of the latest spy shots, the interiors of the Jimny are seen in red shade. However, we suspect that it could be a top-variant offering or an optional offering. Meanwhile, the red shade of the interiors is in contrast with the black panels of the cabin. The distant look gives a youthful appeal to the already muscular Jimny test car. Additionally, it is expected to get features like a 9-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, & intelligent storage spaces.
The exterior of the test car has been camouflaged. However, the alloy wheel design is visible & looks production-ready. The machined alloy wheels have been painted in black colour. Additionally, the tyre profile is also looking butch hence giving a more muscular appeal to the overall design. The dimensions of Jimny are huge and competitive to its direct rival Mahindra Thar 5-Door. Somehow, Jimny fanatics worldwide appreciate it for looking similar to the G-Class from Mercedes.
Engine & spec-wise, it will possibly get the 1.5-lt, K-15 B engine. It develops a peak power of 100 bhp & a peak torque of 130 Nm. Meanwhile, these values might look less on paper but its lightweight shall contribute to a good power-to-weight ratio. Additionally, the Jimny will also get a 4X4 system. This system might be offered on top specs only.
