Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) on Wednesday, announced a hike in prices between Rs 1,000 - Rs 22,500 based on the models. In August 2021, MSIL said that a price hike would come into effect from this month and now the exact quantum across the product portfolio has been released. The automobile makers in the country have cited rising input costs for raw materials such as steel and precious metals. Not only this but the industry is also facing a shortage of semiconductors, supply chain, logistics, and much more due to the recent health crisis breakout.
For the fourth time now, there is an increase in the prices of the raw materials for which MSIL announced the hike in prices. The prices of its models have gone up by 1.9% ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 22,500 respectively.
The Alto hatchback has a price hike of up to Rs. 16,100 while the Wagon R tall-riding hatchback sees an increase of Rs. 12,500. The S-Pressos prices have gone up by Rs. 7,500. The best-selling compact SUV in the country, Vitara Brezza, you have to pay a premium of Rs. 10,000 more.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzires prices are also up by Rs. 10,000 whereas Swift received a mild update earlier this year as well and its prices have gone up for the second time. The compact hatchback competing with Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has an increase of up to Rs. 13,000.
The best-selling Baleno, hitting sales charts for months now also has an increase of up to Rs. 15,200 and the compact affordable Ignis from Nexa premium outlets also witnessed a hike of up to Rs. 14,680.

The mid-size spacious sedan Ciaz has a price hike of up to Rs. 20,500 and the S-Cross has the same hike in prices as well. The hike in prices is not only for these but the list goes on even higher with its commercial vehicles. The Tour S witnesses a hike of up to Rs. 20,300 and the most-selling Eecos built for all purposes witnesses the highest hike in this round of up to Rs. 22,500. The Ertiga and XL6 MPVs have their prices increased by up to Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 12,311 respectively. Thus, we have shown the exact price hike amount of all Maruti Suzuki cars.
