Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is currently responsible for the export of 15 models, with the latest of these being the second-generation Celerio hatchback and the Jimny compact off-roader that is expected to even launch in India later this year. Meanwhile, the most exported Suzuki cars from India include Baleno, Dzire, Swift, Spresso and Brezza.
It must be noted here that the Suzuki Jimny was first displayed in India back in 2020 when the carmaker showcased the latest-gen model at the Auto Expo. Since then the company has carried out feasibility studies on launching the compact off-roader to the Indian markets. In fact, last month it emerged that the internal team of the company has already given a green signal to launch the car locally but reportedly, the latest roadblock that the carmaker has faced is that the volumes for the Jimny are too low and that there might even be some issues with the logistics.
