Maruti Suzuki unveiled its debut all-electric SUV, the eVX Concept SUV, at the 2023 Auto Expo. Now, it appears that the brand has wasted no time in commencing development of the upcoming EV. A heavily disguised test mule of the EV has been recently spotted in an international market, generating anticipation. While the brand has not officially announced the launch timeline for the forthcoming EV based on the eVX concept, reports suggest that it is expected to make its debut in October 2024.

Maruti Suzuki eVX EV SUV
Maruti Suzuki's upcoming electric vehicle (EV) will be developed in partnership with Toyota. Recently, a test prototype of Maruti's EV was spotted for the first time in Poland. Although the test mule was heavily camouflaged in dark black, it provided some glimpses of the forthcoming EV. The EV SUV exhibited a robust appearance with chunky cladding and showcased various details. It will be constructed based on Toyota's Skateboard EV platform.
The concept vehicle hinted at a long wheelbase, large wheels, generous ground clearance, and distinctive LED light elements as part of its design elements. According to the specifications disclosed by the brand during the Auto Expo, the EV will be equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack, enabling it to achieve an estimated range of up to 550 kilometers.

The Maruti Suzuki eVX is set to become the brand's inaugural all-electric vehicle, followed by the launch of a Toyota variant based on the eVX. The global debut of the Maruti Suzuki eVX is planned for October 2024, with the possibility of the vehicle hitting the market either towards the end of 2024 or in early 2025.
