At the same time last year, Toyota filed the Rumion trademark in the Indian market. The Toyota Rumion is another creation of the Maruti Suzuki and Toyota vehicle-sharing alliance. The Toyota Rumion, which is sold in South Africa, is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. With 50 mm more length, 40 mm more width, and 65 mm more height than the Toyota Rumion, the XL6 is larger overall. The two MPVs have a comparable wheelbase. If we talk about the trunk, the XL6 has a 209-liter capacity with all seats up and a 692-liter capacity with the third and second rows folded. The Rumion, on the other hand, has a boot that can hold 550 litres.

The new generation K15C petrol engine in the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 is tuned for less power and torque and more mileage. Both MPVs produce nearly identical amounts of power and torque, with the Rumion producing a slight increase of 1 bhp and 1.2 Nm.

There are four different Maruti Suzuki XL6 models: Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha, and Alpha+. The XL6 is priced from Rs. 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom) up to Rs. 14.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
In the South African market, there are three different Toyota Rumion models available: S, SX, and TX. Price ranges from R265,800 (Rs 12,17,953 converted) to R343,200 (Rs 15,72,616 converted).
Verdict
The Toyota Rumion's launch date in India has not yet been announced, but if it does, the pricing will be competitive with the Ertiga. The XL6 is a six-seater MPV, on the other hand, and it has a lot of features and is very comfy. Given that the Toyota Rumion and Ertiga have similar looks, the Rumion might not sell well in India.
