1. 6 Airbags As Standard
One of the most valued aspects today is the safety feature list. Paying heed to the concerns about safety, the 2024 Maruti Swift is now a much better car than its predecessor. It now comes with 6 airbags as standard across all variants. Not only this, you get a 3-point seatbelt for all passengers along with a hill-hold assist right from the base variant itself. While earlier you had to opt for the top-spec variants for these features, this is one of the reasons why buyers are opting for the VXi and the VXi (O) variants rather than the top-spec trims. But that's not all why it is how it is.
2. Value For Money
Another factor that works in the VXi variant amassing 60% of the total bookings is the value of money quotient that it gets right. You get a 7-inch infotainment screen, 7-inch touchscreen, 4x speakers, Steering-mounted controls, Electrically adjustable ORVMs, Android Auto / Apple Carplay, Height-adjustable driver seat, Rear parcel tray, Wheel covers, power and tilt steering, keyless entry, all power windows, and more. This variant is priced at Rs. 7.29 lakhs.
While the top-spec variants do get modern features like rear AC vents, automatic climate control, wireless chargers, LED lighting, and many more, most buyers are okay with missing out on these features and saving around Rs. 1 lakh. This makes the VXi variant a very appealing VFM variant for this entire lineup. Those wanting connected car tech, push button start/ stop, and electrically affordable ORVMs can go for the VXi (O) trim at an additional Rs. 36,000, still saving around Rs. 65k.

Notably, despite a slight decrease in power from the previous 89 PS, the new engine boasts improved fuel efficiency, achieving a mileage of 25.75 kmpl for the AMT version and 24.80 kmpl for the manual variants.
