MG is all set to introduce the Gloster facelift by August 31, 2022. Several spy shots of the same have been spied on Indian roads and recently, the carmaker also teased the partially visible SUV on their social media handles. In this article, we will be sharing everything there is to know about the MG Gloster facelift and what all changes the SUV might get.
We can expect a restyled front fascia with restyled bumper design and fog light housing. Towards the side, do expect new alloy wheels and we expect things to remain unchanged from the rear. Unlike the older model that gets too much chrome, we can expect the facelifted model to have a subtle treatment of the chrome.
On the inside, we expect the layout to remain the same as before. However, MG could introduce a new advance i-Smart infotainment system. It will be offered with wireless Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. It is expected to have a better UI and a slick touch response.

Sharing information on the mechanical front then it gets two BS6 compliant diesel engines - a 2.0-litre single turbo-diesel making 163 PS of power at 4000 RPM with a peak torque of 375 Nm at 1500-2400 RPM. Next is the most powerful engine in the segment, the 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel making 218 PS of power at 4000 RPM with a peak torque of 480 Nm at 1500-2400 RPM. We expect that with the facelifted model, new variants can be launched with fewer features and safety equipment. This will not only reduce the current prices of the SUV for the base variant but also target the rivals at a competitive pace. Currently, it competes with Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. In terms of pricing, it also competes with the new-gen Hyundai Tucson.
