The Maruti Suzuki's most-selling budget sedan, the Dzire is about to receive a new update this year. After launching the Swift, the automaker now seems close to launching the new Dzire. In the recent development, the new-gen Dzire has been spotted on the ARAI testing in Pune. The new Dzire is expected to be a complete upgrade over the current gen Dzire. New-gen Maruti Dzire
Most upgrades on the upcoming Maruti Dzire will remain the same as the 4th-generation Swift, but there will be some unique features too. The new-gen Dzire will get a better lighting setup- a new headlamp with an LED reflector positioned above it and LED DRLs at the centre. Also, you get halogen LED turn indicators. All in all, the new lighting setup on the new-gen Dzire exudes a more premium feel than the 4-gen Swift. Apart from this, the upcoming Dzire will expectedly feature a different grille and bumper than the new Swift. Last but not least, the upcoming Dzire will feature new alloy wheels that refresh the side profile too.
New-gen Maruti Dzire Features
The upcoming Maruti Dzire will get the same set of features as the 4th gen Swift with some new additions as well. These include a Heads-up display, rain-sensing wipers, and telescopically adjustable steering. You will get the same 9-inch infotainment screen, ARKAMYS sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, onboard voice assistant and Bluetooth connectivity as well.
On the safety front, the upcoming sedan will get six airbags (standard), ESP, ABS with EBD, a reverse parking sensor and hill-hold assist. Additionally, some spy shots also suggest that the new-gen Dzire will also get a 360-degree surround camera that may be offered with the higher variants.
New-gen Maruti Dzire Engine and Power
The upcoming Maruti Dzire will get the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine as the new-gen Swift. The powerplant on offer makes 81.58 PS of power and 111.7 Nm of torque. For transmission duties, you get a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. For context, the current gen Dzire comes powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 89.7 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. The drop in power supply will provide a better fuel economy for the new-gen Dzire.
