Royal Enfield Scram 411 Design & Features
Royal Enfield has designed the new scrambler bike based on their adventure motorcycle Himalayan. While the outline of the design looks familiar, the Scram 411 is a completely different motorcycle. The new motorcycle has been low-set to match the scrambler segment parameters. To do this, it features a 19-inch front wheel as compared to the 21-inch of the Himalayan. The chiselled side panels, a headlamp cowl and an off-set speedometer with semi-digital display, bluetooth phone connectivity, navigation, and new paint shades with exciting graphic design are the main highlights of the upcoming Scram 411.
The design, although familiar to Himalayan, embraces new changes such as no windscreen, no knuckle guards, the ground clearance is also 200mm as compared to 220mm of the Himalayan. Scram 411 uses around halogen headlight, telescopic forks at the front with fork gaiters. The single-seat complies with the tear-drop-shaped fuel tank design. An upswept exhaust with a slightly different rear-end design nicely complements the single rear mono-shock absorber in the new bike.
Scram 411 Engine & Specifications
The upcoming scrambler motorcycle will be using the same Himalayan sourced 411cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It generates 24.3 bhp of max power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4000-4500 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed constant mesh as seen on the Himalayan as well.
The Scram 411 will be using a combination of a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear for the braking duties. A dual-channel ABS is expected as well.
