Skoda Elroq Sketches: A Foray Into Skoda's Evolving Design Thinking
The new design language of the upcoming Skoda Elroq reveals a significant departure from the brands traditional styling cues. Notably absent is the iconic mustache grille, as this electric vehicle forgoes the conventional radiator grille in favor of a sleek, tech-inspired front end. The new look features a tech-deck face, highlighted by a split headlamp arrangement. The upper section showcases a slim LED bar, while the lower part is integrated into a distinctive boomerang-shaped recess. Additionally, the familiar circular Skoda logo has been replaced with bold "SKODA" lettering, marking a fresh evolution in the brands design philosophy.
The rear design of the Skoda Elroq maintains a familiar look, echoing the brand's current SUV lineup with its sharply styled wraparound LED tail-lights and centrally positioned Skoda emblem. The dark chrome lettering on both the front and rear adds a touch of sophistication and the lettering itself imparts a distinctive characteristic and a sense of familiarity.
Inside, the Elroq impresses with a minimalist yet modern cabin. The centerpiece is a large infotainment screen, flanked by a minimal number of physical buttons situated beneath the central air vents. The interior also features a two-spoke steering wheel with the Skoda lettering and a fully digital instrument cluster, highlighting the vehicles commitment to contemporary design and advanced technology. While these are the sketches, the production-spec model might offer some practical deviations, but more likely you are expected to get what you see here.
