Skoda Octavia First Look Review - Exteriors
The RS245 is not vastly different from the regular Octavia but it sports some subtle changes. If you have pair of keen eyes, you will spot sporty bumpers, lowered ride height, side skirts, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear lip spoiler and sporty dual exhaust pipes. The RS245 is also offered in sporty colours and the most loved one is the Rallye Green. The dimensions of the RS245 are not much changed over the normal Octavia. It's just the ground clearance which got a hit due to the sporty suspension.

Skoda Octavia First Look Review - Interiors & Features
The major change one can notice in the RS245 are the interiors. The RS245 gets all-black interiors with a sporty theme. The sporty theme carries sports front seats with Alcantara, leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel with red stitching and the state of the art virtual cockpit. The centre of the dashboard gets 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with RS-specific features.
Talking about the features of the RS245, it gets 9 airbags, dual-zone climate control, electric front seats, vRS mode, hands-free parking, LED ambient lighting, stainless aluminium pedal, RS door sills, panoramic electric sunroof, sports exhaust, painted brake callipers, electronic lockable differential among many more features.
Skoda Octavia First Look Review - Engine and Performance
The Skoda Octavia RS245 gets a 2.0-litre four-pot turbo petrol engine which churns out 245PS and 370 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Unlike the cars of its class which channel the power to the rear wheels, the RS245 channels the power to the front wheels with help of an electronic lockable differential. This very part makes the RS245 one of its kind and it really handles well. The power is in access and you can't deny the charm of the DSG boxes from VW group.
Skoda Octavia First Look Review - Price and New Gen Incoming
The Skoda Octavia is discontinued in the Indian market and the RS245 was brought in limited numbers. Given the 200 units of the RS245 already sold out, you can't get your hands on a new RS245. The RS245 gets superb powertrain and athletic characteristics. The RS245 was launched at the 2020 Auto Expo for Rs 36 lakh ex-showroom, PAN India.

The 2021 Skoda Octavia will hit the Indian shores next year and it will come boasted with a ton of new-age features. Although Skoda is temporarily saying no to TDI, we expect the next-gen Octavia to carry 1.5-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TSI petrol engines. The 1.5-litre TSI may also offer 6-speed manual whereas the 2.0 TSI will be paired to a DGS box.
