Tata Nexon CNG Spotted Testing: Launch Soon
The Nexon CNG variant retains the stylish exterior of the recent Nexon facelift. Stepping inside, the cabin carries over the familiar tech-forward layout of its ICE counterparts. While specific trim levels with the CNG option haven't been confirmed by Tata, expect higher-end variants to offer the same range of modern features found in the standard Nexon.
This includes a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and seamless smartphone connectivity via wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Passengers can also benefit from the comfort of a single-pane sunroof and automatic climate control for added convenience. Safety will be taken care of with a comprehensive set of features including ABD with EBD, an electronic stability program, 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, and a few others. Not to forget that the Nexon CNG will come with Tata's twin-cylinder tech offering big and practical boot space.

Tata Nexon CNG: A First-Ever Turbo Petrol
Tata Nexon CNG is set to debut featuring a unique 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, marking it a first in the Indian CNG car scene. This turbo petrol powertrain delivers 120PS power and a peak torque of 170 Nm in petrol mode. As expected, performance metrics slightly diminish in CNG mode due to the nature of the alternative fuel. Transmission choices will encompass a 5-speed manual gearbox. Moreover, following the trend set by the Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV, the Nexon CNG will also offer an AMT gearbox option, although at a later stage.
The Nexon CNG is expected to hit showrooms in the coming months with pricing looming around Rs. 8 lakhs - 15 lakhs ex-showroom. It will rival the Maruti Brezza CNG and other CNG cars.
Verdict
The Nexon CNG is approaching towards its launch soon with multiple sightings hinting at it's final finishing. With a turbo-petrol CNG option, it will be a lucrative offring for those looking for the best of both worlds. Taking on the Maruti Brezza CNG, it will seriously challnege the dominance as a very strong contendor.
