Tata Nexon iCNG: What's Different?
The Nexon iCNG shares a few things with the other iCNG cars in Tata's lineup, but it also comes with a few firsts as well. The Nexon iCNG is the first CNG car in India to feature a turbo-petrol powertrain, with its 1.2-litre mill producing 98.63bhp and 170Nm of torque. Tata is claiming a fuel efficiency figure of 24km/kg in CNG mode.
Tata says it is also the first CNG car in India to receive a 6-speed manual transmission. The Nexon iCNG can be started directly in CNG mode, and Tata says that the effect of switching between fuels will be minimal.
As with most Tata iCNG cars, the Nexon iCNG comes with the twin CNG cylinders placed underneath, with a capacity of 60-litres. To answer the question that's on your mind, you get 321 litres of boot space.
In terms of features, the Nexon iCNG comes equipped with a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment touch screen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster with integrated navigation, welcome/goodbye DRL animations, ventilated front-row seats, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, six airbags, a rear-view camera, an air purifier, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a four-speaker, four-tweeter sound system among other things.
