- Toyota issued recall for 1,390 units of Glanza & Urban Cruiser Hyryder
- This came after Maruti issued recall notice for around 17,000 vehicles
- Recall is issued for vehicles manufactured between 8 December 2022 to 12 January 2023
For 1,390 units of the Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) India has issued a recall notice. The airbag control unit is thought to be malfunctioning in these vehicles, and as part of the recall, it will be examined and possibly replaced. Approximately 17,000 of Maruti Suzuki's 6 vehicles were subject to a recall that was issued just before this one. These cars include the Baleno and Grand Vitara, the Glanza and Hyryder siblings. Vehicles made between 8 December 2022 and 12 January 2023 have been recalled under both brands.

Toyota Recall
The recall was initiated due to the possibility that the seatbelt pretensioners and airbags might not deploy in the event of a collision due to malfunctioning airbag controllers. The brand has advised owners of impacted vehicles to have their cars checked out as soon as possible at a Toyota dealership because this is a safety issue. In fact, the automaker has advised against using your automobile much until the problematic component has been changed.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Toyota dealers, who will then inspect the part and, if necessary, replace it free of charge. By clicking on this page and inputting their vehicle identification number (VIN), buyers can also determine whether or not their car is subject to a recall.
Verdict: The affected customers will benefit from the brand's voluntary recall because it will make it easier for them to get the parts fixed. Some customers might not like it in the interim as they won't be able to use the vehicle until the problem is fixed.
