Just recently, we updated you with the launch of the new XL6 and now according to the same source, Maruti will also bring the 2022 Ertiga in mid-April. There might not be too many changes, save for the alloy wheels and the front grille but it'll surely get a major update under the hood.

Powered by the same 1.5-litre, BS6 compliant, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor, this unit produces 103 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 138 Nm. A 5-speed manual transmission is offered as a standard fitment and the 4-speed AT will now be replaced with a 6-speed torque converter unit. The sources also say that the 1.5L unit will now be more fuel-efficient than before.
Feature-wise, we can expect the top-spec variant to get larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment as Baleno, cruise control and wireless charging. Other features like automatic climate control, all-four power windows, push-button start/stop, electrically adjustable and retractable outside rear-view mirrors, projector headlights, and LED tail lamps will be available as before.

Safety features on the Maruti Ertiga include speed sensing door lock, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, reverse parking sensors, front seat-belt warning, a high-speed alert system, and dual airbags at the front. The automatic variants of the Ertiga receive hill hold control and electronic stability control too.
