Volvo XC40 Discontinued
The refreshed version of the XC40 was introduced in 2022, followed by the launch of the XC40 Recharge a few months later. Initially offered in a single variant, the XC40 may have been discontinued by the brand due to the favorable reception of the XC40 Recharge, an electric SUV variant with the same XC40 base but featuring an electric powertrain. Additionally, the brand is on a trajectory to transition entirely to electric vehicles by the year 2030.
A few months ago, the brand introduced the C40 Recharge, which shares a front profile resemblance with the XC40 Recharge. Both Volvo electric SUVs share the same Compact Modular Architecture (CMA). However, the C40 distinguishes itself with a unique sloping rear roofline, creating a coupe-like appearance. Equipped with a 78 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors, the C40 Recharge boasts a combined power output of 402 bhp and a peak torque of 660 Nm. Impressively, it offers a range of 530 km on a single charge. Moreover, with the use of a 150 kW DC fast charger, the C40 Recharge can charge from zero to eighty percent in just 27 minutes.
