Yamaha is gearing up to launch its first adventure tourer motorcycle in the Indian market. As we all know, in recent times, affordable adventure tourer motorcycles have become very popular in India and soon Yamaha will also join the bandwagon with its new product. The upcoming new Yamaha FZ-X has been recently spied undisguised revealing some interesting new details.
This isn't the first time the Yamaha FZ-X has been spied in India. Just a few days ago, a new Yamaha motorcycle was spotted doing test rounds on the Yamuna Expressway in Noida. Earlier, it was believed to be a test mule of the Yamaha XSR, but now, it seems that it was a camouflaged version of the Yamaha FZ-X. Now, the recently spied image of the new FZ-X reveals some interesting details about it. The new FZ-X will be based on the Yamaha FZ-S.

The new spied image hints that the upcoming Yamaha FZ-X will boast of a retro appeal. At the front, we can see that the FZ-X gets a circular all-LED headlamp with a round-shaped LED DRL. The front fascia of the motorcycle looks heavily inspired by the Yamaha XSR series. We can also see fork cover gaiters, metallic front mudguard and a matte finish on the body panels. The FZ-X will feature an identical wheelbase of 1330 mm just like the FZ-S V3.
The all-new Yamaha FZ-X will be powered by a BS6 compliant 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out 12.4 PS of maximum power at 7250 RPM and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is expected to be launched in India in June 2021. Are you excited about the launch of the Yamaha FZ-X?
