Skoda recently launched the new Karoq SUV, Rapid BS6 and the Superb Facelift in the Indian market. The Rapid BS6 is the most affordable offering from the Czech car manufacturer in India. Its base variant was priced very aggressively, and the Rapid Rider gained so much traction that the booking was halted within just a few weeks of its launch. Buoyed by the success of the Rider, Skoda launched a new base variant of the Rapid called the Rapid Rider Plus. It is even better than the Rider and gets plenty of features too. Many of you are interested in buying the new Rapid, but you are sceptical about its service cost. So, today we have a detailed article on the Service and Maintenance Cost of the new 2020 Skoda Rapid BS6.
Before we begin, let me tell you that we are considering all the service intervals and maintenance costs. While most mass-market cars in India have a service interval of 10,000 kilometres or one year, the Rapid is a bit different and good. The new Rapid BS6, like the earlier BS4 Rapid, has a service interval of 15,000 kilometres or one year. Below, we have embedded a table that lists the total service cost you need to pay each time you go for the car's servicing. This table lists the cost for up to 6 years or 90,000 kilometres. Also, the breakage of these servicing costs is explained in multiple tables below.
Rapid Service Interval
Net Service Cost
15,000 km or one year
Rs. 5,440
30,000 km or two years
Rs. 10,800
45,000 km or three years
Rs. 8,090
60,000 km or four years
Rs. 10,800
75,000 km or five years
Rs. 8,090
90,000 km or six years
Rs. 10,800
Please do note that we believe a user has the right to take out the Rs 1,400 charges for wheel alignment and balancing and instead get it done outside for a lesser amount. If this is allowed without hampering the warranty, the service costs come down even more! Now, coming to the breakage of the service costs, these are mentioned with all the items in the tables below:
