Maruti Suzuki introduced the Vitara Brezza in 2016 and the sales of the compact SUV have been impressive till date. A facelift of the Maruti Brezza is on the cards in 2020 and the same has been spotted at a dealership level.
The 2020 Maruti Brezza facelift sees minor tweaks all over and the biggest change will be an introduction of a petrol motor. Mind you, regardless of just being sold in a diesel engine option only, the sales of this compact SUV are remarkably higher than its competitors.
Let us tell you about the facelifted Brezza which gets a redesigned front bumper. Also, the indicators are now integrated into the headlight unit which gives it a much cleaner look. The fog light housing is larger than before.

It is expected that the higher trims of the facelifted Maruti Brezza will receive projector headlamps. Now, moving onto the side profile then we see a new alloy wheel design. They have been finished in a dark theme which gives the SUV a rough look.
The rear profile is not visible but we expect that a redesigned rear bumper along with restyled taillight design. Hope, there is more LED treatment in the taillights now.
The inside of the compact SUV will come with new fabric design and top models are expected to get leather treatment. Also, the infotainment system will be upgraded to compete with its competitors.
Coming to the mechanicals, the Maruti Brezza facelift will ditch the oil burner for a cleaner 1.5L, BS6 petrol engine. The latter is already present in the Ertiga and XL6.

We expect Maruti Suzuki to offer an automatic transmission to the petrol version of Brezza too with its launch. Once launched, it will take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon.
