- Maruti Suzuki Baleno now gets wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity
- The wireless connectivity can be enabled via OTA (Over The Air) update

By releasing a fresh OTA update, Maruti Suzuki has enhanced the feature set of the 2022 Baleno. With a recent upgrade from the manufacturer, the Baleno now supports wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. The Baleno's 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, which is only offered in top-spec Alpha models, has received the latest upgrade. The brand has already released the similar update for the 2022 Brezza.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Feature Update
The new feature has given the top-spec Baleno model-new capabilities. The manufacturer has also included turn-by-turn navigation support to the HUD & MID screen with the new wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.In terms of several features that are exclusive to this premium hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been established as the segment leader. The Baleno is the only hatchback in the segment with technologies like wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, a HUD, six airbags, and several other goodies. Moving forward, Maruti may also offer the wireless connectivity in the XL6, but at the moment its just a speculation.

The Baleno comes with a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 88 bhp of power output and 113 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed AMT and 5-speed manual transmission. The Baleno is currently available from the brand in four trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Additionally, there is a CNG version of the Baleno on the market that is only offered in the Delta and Zeta variants. The Baleno currently sells for Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.71 lakh (ex-showroom).
We can assume that Toyota Glanza may also get the same functionality as the new features of the Baleno as the two vehicles share the same specifications and features.
Verdict: The Baleno is now the first vehicle in its sector to offer amenities like a head-up display (HUD), a 360-degree camera, and more thanks to the addition of additional features. It is now equivalent to the Hyundai i20 in terms of wireless connectivity. The new features and navigation support on MID & HUD have improved the appeal of the Baleno.
