To start off with, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Swift will be based on a newly developed platform. Having said that, it will continue with the lightweight HEARTECT platform available with the current generation Suzuki Swift, but it will be altered with high-strength steel. This will make the new model stronger and much safer than before.
Mechanically, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Swift will come with both the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine and the 1.2-liter mild-hybrid system. Both the engines will undergo heavy developments for better fuel efficiency and performance.

Aesthetically speaking, both the front and rear fascia of the Swift will also go through updates. This goes without saying that the headlight and tail lamp design will change, for they will be more angular compared to before. Changes are also expected inside the 2022 Swift, but the specificities of it are yet to be confirmed.
There are rumors too about a Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport for India, but we havent found anything conclusive on that as of yet. On the other hand, both Suzuki and Toyota are working on a mid-size SUV for the Indian market that theyve codenamed the YFG. This upcoming market will be manufactured at Toyotas Bidadi-based plant and is expected to launch by the end-2022. The YFG will be based on the DNGA platform that also underpins the Toyota Raize, and the new 7-seater MPV, the Avanza.
