Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the 4th Gen Swift in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2024 Swift comes with a plethora of changes on the exterior, interior, and in terms of engine specifications. 2024 Maruti Swift Vs Old Maruti Swift - Exterior Changes
The 2024 Swift comes with some significant design changes which makes it more sporty yet functional. The front profile now comes with a glossy black grille, the headlamp assembly is now changed and boasts LED projector headlamps with new DRLs. The old-gen Swift on the other hand gets halogen headlamps. The front bumper has been tweaked to enhance the look. The Suzuki logo has been relocated from the grille. The old-gen model boasted a different front grille design with a chrome strip in the centre and the Suzuki logo placed on the grille. The fog lamps are removed from the ZXI variant in the new Swift. However, the previous generation model offered fog lamps in the ZXI variant.

On the side, the previous gen Swift boasted a different design for the alloy wheels, however, the new Swift boasts a new design. Moreover, the side profile boasts a new body line which enhances the sporty appeal of the vehicle. The length of the hatchback is also increased by 15mm. Previously, the rear door handles were placed near the C-pillar but now the brand has placed the rear door handles in their conventional place. At the rear, the tail lamp assembly has been changed and it now comes with LED tail lamps along with some other changes. Similar to the front, the rear bumper is also tweaked.

The interior of the new-gen Swift is a significant update over the previous generation Swift. The new Swift comes with a revamped dashboard design with a new AC vent design which looks similar to other Maruti models, previously the air vents were circular. It now gets a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with a new UI while the previous gen gets the 7-inch infotainment with a different UI and it was placed below the AC vents. The HVAC control panel is also changed and it now boasts automatic climate control. The speedometer console of the new generation looks more premium and it gets analog dials with a MID.
The previous-gen Swift on the other hand boasted a different design for the instrument panel with analog dials and a MID. The brand has also changed the design of the door pad material and speaker housing to give it a more premium look. The rear row now comes with three individual headrests, and an individual AC vent for the rear row while the previous gen was available with two headrests only and no individual AC vent was available.

The 2024 Swift comes with a lot of additional features that were not available in the previous generation of Swift. For instance, it now comes with automatic climate control (in lower models), 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with new UI and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vent, Arkamys tunes speakers, 6 airbags as standard, hill-hold standard, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, ESC among other safety and convenience features.
The old-generation Swift boasted 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control only in the ZXI+ variant, dual-airbag, ESC, and ABS with EBD, among other features.

2024 Maruti Swift Vs Ols Maruti Swift - Engine Specification
The major update in the new-generation Swift is the new Z-series engine. The new Swift comes with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine. However, the previous generation was available with the 1.2-litre K-series, 4-cylinder engine.

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift has come with significant updates and it is a big improvement over the previous generation. The brand has done the pricing well to entice more customers. The new-gen Swift with improved efficiency will sell in good numbers and if it scores good safety ratings in crash test, it will become more attractive for the buyers.
