Hyundai Alcazar is powered by two engine options - a 2.0L petrol and 1.5L diesel. The oil burner is carried from the Creta and makes the same power of 115 PS with 250 Nm of peak torque. Its rival, MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari churns out 170 PS with 350 Nm of peak torque. That is a lot and Alcazar surely feels underpowered.
However, Hyundai Alcazar has an edge over its rivals as it comes with a more powerful and refined petrol motor. The 2.0L, four-cylinder, BS6 compliant naturally aspirated engine churns out 160 PS with a peak torque of 192 Nm. Both the engine options are available with a 6-speed manual as standard and a 6-speed automatic as an option.
