Back in 2014, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Celerio in the Indian market and the car became an instant hit for the brand. Celerio was the first hatchback that kicked in automatic transmission at a very minimal price tag whereas the company recently relaunched the latest generation Celerio which is again proving its worth.
The all-new Celerio is now offered in a completely new avatar with enhanced features and advanced technology. The car was launched on November 10 and in just one month, the Maruti has received over 15,000 bookings for the Celerio. While the company is planning to increase its production capacity, Celerio still has a waiting timeline of 12 weeks.
Maruti Suzuki is one of the most likable brands in the industry. With the launch of its latest generation Celerio, the company is ready to hit the rivals down and hit the sales chart. The hatchback comes with a re-designed exterior and interior. As compared to the previous generation, the new one looks more compact. It gets a new oval shaped grille design that comes with a chrome strip that runs across with honeycomb detailing on it.

Upfront, the car gets triangular shaped halogen headlamps along with fog lamps as well. To make the hatch look sporty, the company has given black detailing and angular edges to the front bumper. It also gets ORVM with turn indicators. If you are planning to opt for the top-spec variant, the hatch will also feature flap-type door handles and 15-inch alloy wheels painted in black.
At such a price tag, Maruti is offering a feature-loaded cabin. The new Celerio comes with a new black colored dashboard design with silver details on the steering wheel, new infotainment system and HVAC vents. The new touchscreen infotainment system is compatible with smartphone connectivity for both Android and IOS users. The top-spec trims also feature push button start/stop, keyless entry and steering mounted controls.

The all-new Celerio is powered by K10C 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated dual jet petrol engine that is capable of churning out 66bhp of maximum power and 89 Nm of peak torque. The hatch comes mated to a five-speed manual and five-speed AMT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki claims the latest Celerio to be one of the most fuel-efficient cars in India that claims a mileage of 26.86 km/l for the AMT VXI variant and 24.97 km/l for the manual ZXI+ variant. The company is also expected to launch a CNG version of the hatchback very soon.
