We are here to talk about the new sales record from Maruti Suzuki on their CNG cars. The new records set itself by bringing in 1 lakh plus sales for FY 2019-20.
Maruti Suzuki provides factory-fitted CNG that not only helps in keeping the warranty but also a sense of trust their S-CNG Cars. The list of cars which comes with CNG kits are Eeco, WagonR, Ertiga, Dzire Tour S, Alto800, Celerio and Super Carry.
Sharing more details on the Maruti Suzuki S-CNG technology then it offers three USPs - More Performance, More Convenience and More Durability. Let's talk about the Performance as the kit comes with Dual Interdependent ECU with Intelligent Injection System.

They are dependent on each other thus providing an optimum air-fuel ratio during combustion which helps in high fuel efficiency and consistent performance. Also, these cars get the re-tuned suspension set up. It also comes with micro-switch which ensures the engine switch off when one is filling up the CNG. It also comes with an integrated harness which prevents any chance of short circuits.
In terms of convenience, it offers hassle-free registration, auto-switch, continued warranty, large service network, fuel-level indicator, NGV Receptacle. The latter is a special nozzle that assists in faster and safer CNG refuelling.
Speaking on the importance of CNG vehicles in its portfolio, Mr Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, The growth of CNG vehicles complements the Government of Indias vision of reducing oil import and enhancing the share of natural gas in the energy basket of the country from 6.2% now to 15% by 2030. The Government is working to rapidly increase the CNG fuel pumps network in the country.
There has been a phenomenal growth in the number of CNG stations in the last six years with over 50% of growth coming in the last year alone. With the governments clear focus, the spread of CNG stations is set to increase significantly. Maruti Suzuki is aligned with the Governments vision by strengthening and expanding its CNG product portfolio.
