The brand has announced that all the non-cargo variants of the Eeco will not be expensive by INR 8,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). In addition to this, the brand will not be offering dual-airbags as standard with all the non-cargo variants of the Eeco. In addition to this, the Maruti Eeco gets many other safety features such as ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert and warning, seat-belt reminder and front airbags. The non-cargo Eeco can be had in four variants across five-seat and seven-seat layouts.

The Maruti Eeco is powered by a 1.2-L, four-cylinder G12B motor that churns out 72bhp and 98 Nm of peak torque output. In CNG, the same motor churns out 62 bhp and 85 Nm of peak torque. Both, the petrol as well as petrol-CNG variants get a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the car returns around 15kmpl on petrol only model, those opting for the CNG variants can expect a fuel efficiency figure of around 20 km/kg. No automatic variant is on offer with the Maruti Eeco. The brand also claims that it has specifically retuned the CNG versions to offer optimum performance in all situations.
Maruti is claimed to be working on a number of upcoming CNG vehicles that are expected to be introduced in the country next year. These include Swift, Celerio, Brezza, Baleno, and the Ciaz. In addition to this, Maruti is offering one of the most extensive CNG portfolios in the country. Apart from this, the brand is also working on introducing a number of SUVs in the country including a Swift-based SUV.
