The mid variants of Maruti Fronx i.e. Delta & Delta Plus have finally started arriving at the NEXA dealerships. The Fronx Delta variant only comes with a 1.2L NA petrol engine, whereas the Fronx Delta Plus variant gets options for either the 1.2L NA petrol engine or the 1L turbo petrol engine. As both variants have started arriving at the showrooms & dealerships, let us take a look at the differences between their exterior, interior, & features.
Maruti Fronx Delta & Delta Plus Variants: Exterior Differences
On the exterior, both the Fronx Delta & Delta Plus variants get a rear spoiler, skid plates, body cladding, shark-fin antenna, ORVMs with turn indicators, etc. However, the Delta variant gets projector headlamps with halogen bulbs, whereas the Delta Plus variant gets the triple LED design headlight like the top-end variant. The triple NEXTre LED DRLs are also present only in the Delta Plus variant and not the Delta. At the rear, the Delta variant gets LED tail lights but misses out on the connecting LED lightbar element, which the Delta Plus gets. Moreover, the Delta Plus also gets features like automatic headlamps with a follow-me-home function which the Delta variant misses out on. When it comes to wheels, the Delta variant gets steel wheels whereas the Delta Plus variant gets 16-inch dark-shade alloy wheels.
Maruti Fronx Delta & Delta Plus Variants: Interior & Features
On the features front, both the Delta & Delta Plus variants get a 7-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 4 speaker setup, electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, steering-mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, tilt-adjustable flat-bottom steering, etc. On the safety front too, both variants offer ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, all 3-point ELR seat belts, ESP, hill hold assist, rear defogger, etc. The only minor interior difference between Delta & Delta Plus variants is in the interior finishes & materials.
Maruti Fronx Delta & Delta Plus Variants: Powertrain Specs
The Delta variant is the second base variant and it sits above the base Sigma variant in the Fronx lineup. The Fronx Delta variant is offered with the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT automatic. On the other hand, the Delta Plus variant is the mid-variant in the Fronx lineup. It sits below the second top Zeta variant and above the second base Delta variant. The Delta Plus is the only variant in the Fronx lineup that is offered with both the engine option. It comes with the 1.2L NA petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. It also comes with the 1L turbo petrol engine paired only with the 5-speed manual gearbox and no automatic.

Verdict: Maruti Suzuki India has also finally announced the prices for the Fronx. The ex-showroom prices of Fronx start at Rs 7.46 lakh and go up to Rs 13.13 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the Delta variant of Fronx is Rs 8.32 lakh for the manual transmission option and Rs 8.87 lakh for the AMT automatic transmission option. Moreover, the ex-showroom price of the Fronx Delta Plus variant is Rs 8.72 lakh for the 1.2L NA engine with manual gearbox, Rs 9.27 lakh for the 1.2L NA engine with AMT gearbox, and Rs 9.72 lakh for the 1L turbo engine with the manual gearbox.
