Maruti Suzuki S-Presso sports an urban design and is quite popular in both rural and city areas. The popularity of the Maruti S-Presso is such that it has recorded a sales of 9,578 units for February 2020. Also, it becomes the second best selling entry-level hatchback in the market.
The sales of Maruti S-Presso falls short from Alto which sees 17,921 units. The funky looking hatchback beat its competition, Renault Kwid by a heavy margin (Kwid only saw 4,187 units) in February 2020.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes in a sole 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which is sufficient to beat city traffic and often used for highway runs. This motor churns out 67 bhp on tap at 5,500 rpm with a peak torque of 90 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional AMT.

Feature-wise, the S-Presso gets a larger 7.0-inch touchscreen unit which comes in handy. This unit comes with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Bluetooth mode. It gets multi-function steering control, front power windows and fabric upholstery.
Safety features on the hatchback include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminders, engine immobilizer and among others.
In other news, Maruti is also testing a CNG variant of the S-Presso and will use the same 1.0L petrol engine. There will be a 10% drop in power figures and the Indian carmaker will not provide any automatic transmission with this one. It is expected to come in trims like LXi, LXi(O), VXi and VXi(O).

Sure the prices of CNG trims are expected to see an increase by Rs 50,000. Currently, the S-Presso starts at a price tag of Rs 3.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 4.91 lakh. All prices adhere to ex-showroom, Delhi.
