With 8 out of the top 10 best-selling passenger vehicles in 2021, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd continues to carry the title of largest-selling carmaker in the country by a huge margin
Founded almost 41 years ago, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (formerly Maruti Udyog Limited) has been the country's largest-selling carmaker for time immemorial. Its popularity can be gauged from the fact that in 2021, as many as 8 out of the top 10 best selling passenger cars came from the house of Maruti Suzuki. In fact, in spite of its high popularity, it's the first time that it has achieved this feat.

The eight Maruti Suzuki models that feature in the top 10 best-selling cars list of 2021 include WagonR, Swift, Baleno, Alto 800, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, Eeco and Ertiga.
