CNG is among one of the most practical solutions available to four-wheeler producers when searching for alternative fuel sources. Recently, there has been an increase in the adoption of CNG automobiles. Reportedly, Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to introduce the Swift in CNG variant. In an effort to increase sales of the car, the company earlier this year introduced the CNG version of the Dzire. When it comes to CNG cars, Maruti already holds a significant market share. The Swift CNG may now be introduced soon by Maruti, and some information about it has been made public online.

Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG
In India, the Maruti Suzuki Swift has been a popular product for the company. At present, the Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago, both Swift competitors, are offered with a CNG powertrain. If the Swift CNG launches in the upcoming months, hatchback buyers will have another option.
The Swift CNG will have the same appearance and engine, but with a CNG changeover. The CNG conversion switch will be located on the right side of the steering, close to the headlamp leveller. Any more potential changes, aside from this, are not anticipated; it will continue to offer the same set of features. The 1.2-liter DualJet petrol engine, which is anticipated to deliver 70 bhp of power and 95 Nm of maximum torque, will be featured the Swift CNG. The engine will continue to come with a 5-speed manual transmission. Swift CNG's fuel efficiency rating is expected to be 30-35 km/kg. The Swift CNG's boot space will be compromised due to the presence of the CNG tank.

The Swift CNG will have VXI and ZXI trim levels, just like the Dzire, and will cost 80,000 to 90,000 rupees more than the ordinary trims. According to certain reports, some retailers have already begun accepting unofficial bookings for the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG.
The Swift CNG launch is anticipated to happen before the end of the year or perhaps concurrently with the introduction of the new-generation Swift, which could make its appearance at the 2023 Auto Expo.
