The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is one of the highest-selling compact SUVs in India and not only offers a good looking exterior design and a spacious cabin but in addition to this, also offers refined and reliable powertrain options. The car is priced aggressively in the market and enjoys a strong demand. the brand is however now planning to introduce the next-gen model of the car that will come with a long list of changes. The upcoming new Maruti Brezza was recently spied testing, thus indicating a launch soon. Here are all the details that we know about this upcoming Maruti SUV in India.
For starters, the next-gen Maruti Brezza is expected to be launched in 2022. Once launched, this car will rake on the rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite. The next-Gen Brezza will come with an all-new exterior design and a revised cabin layout that will help it position itself as a fresh product in the market. Furthermore, this new upcoming SUV from Maruti will continue to feature a boxy layout to give it a proper SUV look while we may also lee a larger grille at the front. Likewise, the brand is also expected to introduce new headlights and tail lights.

While we have limited details about this upcoming SUV, we do expect the brand to offer a new dashboard design with a large infotainment display in the centre. In addition to this, the car will continue to be offered with features like rear AC vents, central armrest, electrically adjustable ORVMs, push-button start, etc. Furthermore, the brand may also improve the rear seat experience by offering better seats and increased legroom. Other features like cooled glovebox, automatic climate control, wireless charging pad, multi-way adjustable front seats, etc are also expected to be offered with the car.
Powering the current Maruti Brezza is a 1.5-L K15B petrol engine. The Indian carmaker is expected to retain the same unit but we may also see a 48V hybrid system that will replace the current SHVS mild-hybrid system. This engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox while the buyers can also opt for the optional 4-speed automatic transmission. While we do not expect the brand to introduce a diesel engine with this car, a CNG powertrain is expected to be launched. More details, however, can only be known after the brand's official statement on the product.
