Maruti Swift CNG Launch In Coming Months
The 2024 Maruti Swift came with a generational update where the previous 4 cylinder engine has been replaced by the new 3-cylinder Z-Series engine. While the power figures are slightly on the lower side, it makes up for it in the mileage. The 2024 Maruti Swift debuts a novel mild-hybrid powertrain, featuring a finely tuned 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, Z Series petrol engine, capable of delivering 81.58 PS of power and 112Nm of torque. This new engine is offered with both 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions, prioritizing enhanced fuel efficiency while slightly compromising on power output.
Impressively, the AMT version achieves a mileage of 25.75 kmpl, marking a notable 14% increase, while the manual variant returns 24.80 kmpl, representing a commendable 10% boost. Now, the CNG powertrain is all set to be introduced in the coming months. And following the trend, it will also offer an increased mileage than previously claimed. However, the performance figures will be dropped even further, typical of this greener alternative fuel.
