Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will now be offering the advanced intelligent telematics technology, Suzuki Connect, on its Arena range of cars. Suzuki Connect is now available as an official accessory and can be added for just Rs 11,900 with a three-year subscription plan. For Nexa customers the subscription can be renewed for just Rs. 2,299 for three years or Rs. 999 for a year.
Suzuki connect gives access to a plethora of connected features, like security alerts, geofencing, vehicle status report, navigation to car and much more. Other than that, live vehicle tracking, driving analytics report, functional alerts, and roadside assistance are also available.
It is now upgraded to the latest technology that offers connected features by using cloud-based servers via cellular network. It also offers over-the-air updates. Owners can connect to their vehicle via the Suzuki Connect Smartphone App, available for both Android and iOS.
The Indo-Japanese manufacturer is now offering the Suzuki Connect system as a Maruti Suzuki Genuine Accessory, available over almost 2,800 showrooms across more than 2,000 cities in India. The connected car tech came back in 2018, available only for its NEXA customers but is now available with all of its Arena range.
With the introduction of the Suzuki Connect to the market, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, In todays technology-savvy world, it is very important to stay connected as it provides reassurance, a sense of security and peace of mind. It aims to bridge this need-gap, by giving an advanced and digitalized experience to our customers. Built on the intelligent telematics technology, Suzuki Connect aims to increase user experience through its advanced features.

He further added that over 50,000 NEXA customers appreciate the system to date, and an extensive nationwide study was conducted to understand the requirements of the people while developing the system. Features like intrusion alert, airbag deployment, tow away alert, etc., have also been included for a better output.
Suzuki Connect is embedded deep inside the vehicle, keeping it safe and secure from outside interference. Driving reports which can be seen in the mobile application allow drivers to analyze and improve their driving. These reports could also help in reducing fuel consumption as well. Adding this accessory to its car line-ups, Maruti has played a smart strategy to target its consumers.
