- Suzuki has unveiled a new Heritage edition of Jimny in Australia

Suzuki has introduced the Heritage Edition, a new limited edition of the three-door Jimny, in Australia. Only 300 units of the new edition are available, and it exclusively comes with the manual transmission option. Only a few cosmetic alterations are made to the limited run Heritage edition to distinguish it from other editions. Jimny Heritage honours the dynamic 4x4 heritage of Jimny from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. There are four colour choices for this edition: White, Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, and Medium Grey.
Suzuki Jimny Heritage Edition - Changes
It has retro-styled artwork with stripes of red and orange colour on the sides and back. Together with the vintage designs, it also receives a Jimny Heritage decal on the rear fenders. The Jimny also receives Red mud flaps with a White Suzuki emblem. Moreover, it receives Jimny Heritage cargo tray, special Heritage pack, and red front mud flaps.
It still has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an analogue instrument cluster with MID, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, and other goodies.
Suzuki Jimny Heritage Edition - Engine
There have been no mechanical modifications made to the Heritage Edition. It is equipped with a 5-speed transmission and a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine. This variant also features the Suzuki AllGrip Pro four-wheel drive system. The 1.5-liter gasoline engine generates a maximum torque of 134 Nm and 104 bhp, respectively.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny India Launch
Everyone is waiting for Maruti Suzuki to announce the launch date of the five-door Jimny in India as the company has already showcased it in the Auto Expo. A sizable amount of bookings have been made for the Jimny 5-door prior of its release. The Jimny will be sold in India in four different variants, powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque converter transmission.
Verdict: Maruti Suzuki is all set launch the 5-door Jimny in India in the coming months. May be the brand will bring these special edition later this year in India as well to make the Jimny disctintive from its regular variants.
