More CNG Variants
The Ertiga is currently the only MPV in the market to offer a CNG powertrain and the brand is now expected to expand the CNG line-up in India. It is strongly believed that Maruti will be offering a number of additional CNG variants with the new 2022 Ertiga. Currently, the Ertiga CNG is offered with a 1.5-L K15B engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
New 6-Speed Automatic Transmission
If rumours are to be believed, Maruti Suzuki is currently working on a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that will be offered with the upcoming Ertiga and a number of other cars like the new Brezza and XL6. This new transmission unit will replace the older 4-speed AT unit that is currently being offered with a number of Maruti cars.

The current Ertiga gets a 7-inch touchscreen system with features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. The brand is expected to offer an updated new touchscreen system with new features and a larger screen.
