1. Ventilates Seats
Even though the Mahindra XUV 3XO takes the lead with a lot of segment first offerings, if you want ventilated seats, Tata Nexon is the one you will be looking at. This is something that the Mahindra rival could have offered, but then, you cannot have everything at once, can you?
2. Air Purifiers
The air purifier with the Nexon makes sure that you are within a safe breathing environment as soon as you enter the cabin. This is a neat addition that not a lot of SUVs offer in this segment and the price range. XUV 3XO also misses out on this one as well.
3. Paddle Shifters
For better control of the gear shifts, the Tata Nexon comes with paddle shifters with the automatic transmission. While it adds practicality, it also inspires a more sporty feel to the driving experience.

To make the Nexon even more appealing to customers, Tata has made a significant update by introducing diesel engines starting from the base Smart trim. Previously, diesel engines were only available from the Pure variant onwards, making the most affordable diesel option the Pure Diesel 6MT priced at Rs. 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
With this change, the Nexon now offers a diesel engine at a reduced price point, with the new Smart+ Diesel 6MT variant priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Smart+ S Diesel 6MT at Rs. 10.59 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it a lot cheaper than before by Rs. 1.1 lakhs making it a lot more competitive in the segment. The Tata Nexon prices start at Rs. 8.14 lakhs and rival the other SUVs in the segment like of Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and others.
Verdict
The Tata Nexon, even though it is looked like it was lagging behind the XUV 3XO, has its own set of advantages that cannot be ignored. However, with Mahindra XUV 3XO clocking 50,000 bookings looks like a longer waiting time, Nexon if delivered early, could retain its share better.
