Toyota has finally started delivering its newest Innova MPV iteration. The newly launched Toyota Innova Hycross MPV is now being delivered in selected cities. Additionally, the waiting period for its hybrid variants has increased to 12 months. Read more details on it below.

Toyota Innova Hycross MPV Delivery Details
Ever since the Innova Hycross debuted in India, it has gathered immense response. All thanks to its hybrid powertrain option, most of the bookings are for it only. In fact, the waiting period for the hybrid version has reached upwards of 1 year in some places. Meanwhile, the non-hybrid variants are also witnessing a waiting period of up to 10 months. In lieu of reducing this waiting time, Toyota has begun the delivery process at selected locations.
The first Hycross was delivered this past week. Speaking of the details, it is available in two powertrain options. The first is a non-hybrid is priced at Rs 18.30 - 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom). This powertrain is comprised of a 2.0-Lt NA petrol engine that makes a peak power of 172 bhp. Additionally, it only comes with a CVT automatic gearbox option. However, the second option includes a more efficient hybrid powertrain. It uses the 2.0-Lt petrol engine with a strong hybrid option. Hence, it develops a peak power of 183.72 bhp and delivers a staggering fuel economy of upwards of 23 kmpl. It is priced between Rs 24.01 - 28.97 lahks (ex-showroom).
Verdict
The introduction of hybrid tech has resulted in buyers plunging for Innova Hycross. Additionally, the enhanced size with added features like a panoramic sunroof & Ottoman seats has resulted in a long waiting period. The commencement of the delivery process means that rivals like KIA Carnival will be facing strong competition sooner.
