Hyundai Creta EV Spotted: Sequential Turn Indicators, And More

Going by the glimpse of it, the silhouette and the body ratios are similar to what we have seen on the ICE variants of the Hyundai Creta. However, we have seen the Hyundai Creta EV in the past based on the pre-facelift model, this sighting is in line with the facelifted model and not the previous iteration. However, it sure confirms some more details.

For starters, you can see sequential turn indicators on the Creta EV model, something that is visually appealing and sits very well with the buyers. The tail lamps have been horizontally stacked with a potentially connected light bar in harmony with the ICE model. On tp of this, from earlier sightings, the Creta EV gets a front-mounted charging socket, a closed-off grill, and a drag-reduction alloy design for better aerodynamics.

Sharing the same platform as the ICE Creta, the interiors will be an EV-centric affair. Several features within may draw inspiration from existing Hyundai electric vehicles. Take, for instance, the possibility of integrating the 4-dot steering wheel from the Ioniq 5 into the Creta EV. Additionally, elements from the ICE Creta will be incorporated, such as the dual-screen setup, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, and front-ventilated seats. Expect amenities like a Bose premium sound system and dual-zone climate control to enhance the experience. Furthermore, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are on the horizon, evidenced by a recent sighting of a test mule equipped with a radar module.

Battery & Range

2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift
Hyundai Creta ICE variant for reference

Anticipated to offer multiple variants, the Hyundai Creta EV sparks speculation about an extended range exceeding 500 kilometers per charge. Early discussions hinted at a base model equipped with a 45 kWh battery, affording a range of roughly 250-300 km. However, rumors now swirl around the possibility of a larger battery pack, estimated at 55-60 kWh, to power a long-range variant capable of the 500 km claimed mileage.

While the pricing is expected to be around Rs. 20 lakhs, it will give a tough time to other electric movers like the Tata Nexon EVMG ZS EVMahindra XUV400 EV, and more.
