Volkswagen with the launch of Taigun in India was able to register a growth of 50% in sales last month as compared to the previous year. VW Taigun within a months time crossed 18,000 bookings milestone with a waiting period of two months.
According to the reports Taigun has received more bookings than Kushaq so far. Even before the launch of the car in the market, Taigun was able to achieve 12,000 pre-bookings. Skoda Kushaq so far was able to achieve a 15000 bookings milestone whereas VW Taigun has taken a lead by 3000 bookings more.
On comparing the sales of the company from last years October, VW achieved a growth of 50% in sales. This increment in sales could be noticed because of the launch of the first made-in-India Taigun. Specific sales growth figures are yet to be revealed by the company whereas according to the company Dynamic and Performance Line are the most demanding variants.

Volkswagen Taigun is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engines. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine can produce 115hp of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque and the 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine can produce 150hp of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines comes mated to a six-speed manual as standard whereas the 1.0 TSI gets a six-speed torque converter as an option and a seven-speed DSG with 1.5 TSI.
The car is available in two different variants - Dynamic and Performanced Line. The dynamic one further offers three trims - Comfortline, Topline, and Highline. Whereas the Performance Line offers two trims - GT and GT Plus. VW fo the first time has loaded the car with features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto, 8-inch all-digital cockpit, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, USB Type-C ports, wireless charging, cooled glovebox, sunroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels

The VW Taigun starts at Rs 10.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 17.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
