Yamaha Motor India launched the BS6 compliant Yamaha FZ 25 and the all-new FZS 25 in July 2020. The new Yamaha FZ 25 series is much better than its predecessor. The company launched it in July 2020 at a starting price of Rs 1.52 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. In the course of one year, it got minor price revisions but now, the company has reduced the price of the Yamaha FZ 25 series in India massively. So, let's check out its New vs Old Price List.

So, as you have seen in the above table, the price of the Yamaha FZ 25 has been reduced by Rs 18,800 while the FZS 25 has received a price cut of Rs 19,300. The new Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 is now priced at Rs 1,34,800 and the FZS 25 will retail at Rs 1,39,300. All the prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Now, Yamaha says that its India team has managed to reduce the overall input cost and so the company has planned to pass these benefits to its customers. The benefits have been passed to the Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 buyers only.

However, it seems that Yamaha has reduced the price of these quarter-litre motorcycles massively to boost its sales. That's because the new FZ 25 and the FZS 25 couldn't manage to perform well for the company ever since its launch in 2020. Now, if we talk about the engine specifications of these new motorcycles, so the FZ 25 and the FZS 25 are powered by a BS6 compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 20.8 PS of maximum power at 8000 RPM and 20.1 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The quarter-litre motorcycle gets telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable mono-cross suspension at the rear. The braking duties on the bike are handled by disc brakes at either end and it gets dual-channel ABS as an additional safety aid.
