Maruti Suzuki Recall
It's possible that the rear brake assembly pin has a flaw, which could occasionally break and result in an odd noise. In the long run, there could be a potential impact on brake performance. Maruti Suzuki has chosen to recall the suspicious vehicles for free testing and replacement of the defective part out of concern for customer safety and extreme caution.
Replacement parts are being arranged and Maruti Suzuki approved workshops will contact consumers to schedule service for their vehicles. If repairs are necessary, they will be made after the inspection. By visiting the Important Information for Customers part of the Maruti Suzuki website, customers can also determine whether or not their vehicle requires an inspection.
As part of this recall, the vulnerable cars will be able to have the part changed. The manufacturer issued a recall notice in August for 166 Dzire Tour S sedans due to an airbag defect. As part of the recall, the airbag control unit of these vehicles was changed without charge.

Verdict: Customers who recently purchased a Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Celerio, or Ignis should check the production date. After that, they should visit Maruti's official website to see whether or not their car is included in the recall. Another option is to contact the nearby Maruti dealer and have the car inspected.
