Mahindra Bolero
The Bolero is in the market for nearly two decades now and is still popular among people. It is also one of the cheapest 7 seater SUV in the market right now. The price tag sticks with Rs 8.02 lakh for the base variant and the top model fetches till Rs 9.41 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Bolero now meets with the latest BS6 emission norms and follows the safety and pedestrian norms. It gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine under the hood which makes 75 bhp with a peak torque of 210 Nm from as low as 1600 rpm. It comes in three variants - B4, B6 and B6(O).
Mahindra Scorpio
The second cheapest 7 seater SUV comes from the same stable and that is the Scorpio. Over the years we have seen several facelifts and generation change and it only resulted in two things - an aggressive design and good engine refinement.
The Scorpio comes in four variants - S5, S7, S9 and S11 and it starts from as low as 12.48 lakh and fetch till Rs 16.23 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It gets a 2.2L mHawk diesel which makes 140 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque.
Mahindra XUV500
Mahindra is on fire with its SUV game and this is the third SUV from the carmaker's portfolio and in the list to offer 7 seats. Currently, the XUV500 is priced between Rs 13.56 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It offers more comfort and a frugal diesel engine in this budget.
Also, the newer generation of Mahindra XUV500 is slated for launch in early 2021 and we can expect new design, technology, features and engine options. Mahindra will now bring in a powerful diesel and a petrol engine to keep up for the sales.
Ford Endeavour
The American muscle with a 2.0L diesel under the hood and a 10-speed automatic gearbox is priced from Rs 30 lakh and go up till Rs 35.12 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Ford's Endeavour is another cheapest 7 seater SUV which made to our list.

Ford offers several features with this one like a panoramic sunroof, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC 3, ambient lighting, hands free semi-auto parking, powered tailgate, terrain management system and many others.
Mahindra Alturas G4
The flagship SUV from Mahindra offering tons of features rivals Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. The prices for the same starts from 28.73 lakh and goes up till Rs 31.74 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi., It is available in both 2WD and 4WD options.
Toyota Fortuner
The mighty SUV Fortuner has topped the sales chart for the last ten years now and continues to impress the manufacturer with its sales figures. It is the frugal diesel engine and the reliability of Toyota which makes it a segment leader.
Toyota Fortuner is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol is reserved only with 4x2 option, the oil burner gets the taste of both two and four-wheel drive. The Fortuner is priced from Rs 28.68 lakh and goes up till Rs 36.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace
The German carmaker made to the list with its Tiguan Allspace offering 7 seats. Well, we believe the last row is well reserved to the children only. It hosts several tech and comfort features but the biggest blow is no diesel engine. Yes, costing a whopping Rs 33.24 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, this one is a CBU unit and comes with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine only. This unit makes 188 bhp with 320 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Upcoming 7 Seater SUV
Tata Gravitas
Also known as the extended version of the Harrier, the Gravitas share the same mechanicals as its younger sibling but will include an extra third row to seat an additional of 2 more people. It is not sure whether Tata will bring in a 6-seater version too of the Gravitas which will get captain seats in the middle row. If this gets launched then it will directly take on the likes of MG Hector Plus.
MG Gloster
MG will launch the Gloster in a few days and once it does, it will mark its entry to the cheapest 7 seater SUV list. It comes in four variants - Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy out of which the base variant Super will get the 7-seat layout. Also, second to the top which is the Sharp variant will also get the option of 6-seat and 7-seat layout.
