2023 Maruti Swift hatchback range has been updated with the ESP safety feature as standard. The EPS was only available on the top specs until now.

Maruti Swift is one of the hottest-selling hatchbacks in India for years. With time Maruti has updated it with new designs, features, & safety additions. 2023 Maruti Swift ESP Update Details
The Maruti Swift hatchback is now available with ESP (electronic stability program) as standard equipment. The new 2023 update has been done in lieu of increasing concern for safety regarding the brand's image. However, the new Swift update does not bring RDE norms-compliant engine until now. The new emission rules are going to be implied from 1 April'23 across the nation. It will be phase-2 of the new emission norms policy from the government. Meanwhile, the ESP will surely help the new owners by providing more control in rough driving conditions. Now all the variants, from LXI to ZXI+ get the ESP as standard.
Meanwhile, there is no other change to the car whatsoever. This means that the same design & features are carried over. Additionally, the updated Swift uses the same 1.2-lt NA petrol engine as seen earlier. This engine is known for its reliability & brilliant fuel efficiency. Maruti offers the Swift with an option of a 5-speed manual & a 5-speed AMT transmission. In terms of features, it gets a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, &, etc.
Verdict
The addition of ESP is a welcome move but Maruti Suzuki has still not confirmed the RDE-compliant update of the Swift. However, Maruti has updated its Baleno, Ertiga, & XL6 with new features. Some of the direct rivals of the Swift are - Tata Tiago & Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS.
