Maruti Cars To Cost More From January 2025 By Upto 4 Percent
Maruti Suzuki has announced a price increase across its model lineup, effective January 1st, 2025. This increase, attributed to rising input costs and operational expenses, will vary across models and may go up to 4%. Following Maruti's announcement, other automakers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Kia, and others are also expected to announce price hikes in the coming days. Also just recently, Hyundai, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz have already announced the price hikes for new year 2024
However, it is important to note that the year-end discounts are already in full swing with both Arena and Nexa models available with attractive offers and discounts with the Maruti Jimny offering massive savings of over 2 lakh rupees.

Maruti Dzire Becomes The First Ever Maruti To Score 5-Star GNCAP Safety Rating
The all-new Maruti Dzire has achieved a significant milestone by securing a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, becoming the first amongst the Maruti cars to achieve this feat. This impressive safety performance is attributed to the inclusion of standard safety features such as six airbags, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child mounts.
As for the engine details, the fourth-generation Maruti Dzire is now powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 82 PS and 111.7 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The petrol variant offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.79 km/l with the manual and 25.71 km/l with the AMT whereas the CNG variant of the Dzire, powered by the same 1.2-liter engine, delivers 69.75 PS and 101.8 Nm of torque and is exclusively available with a 5-speed manual transmission claims a fuel efficiency of 33.73 km/kg.
Verdict
Carmakers generally keep the new year as the time to implement price hikes that not only helps buyers to save some bucks, but also push out the unsold inventory to make way for the frersh stock. While a few manufacturers have already announced the impending hike, expect some more brands to follow suit.
