Maruti Suzuki's WagonR is one of the most sought-after family hatchbacks in the Indian market. In fact, as per the sales figures of last month, the new Maruti WagonR has emerged as the best-selling car in the country in July 2021. Now, to make this popular family hatchback even more appealing to the customers, Maruti has launched the new WagonR Xtra Edition in India. So, what all does the new Xtra Edition gets over the VXi trim? Let's find out.
Maruti WagonR Xtra Edition - What's New?
The new Maruti WagonR Xtra Edition is based on the VXi trim of this family hatchback. This new Xtra Edition pack adds a host of accessories to the top-end VXi variant of the WagonR which helps it to stand out from the rest of the variants. For instance, it gets a host of cosmetic updates like a chrome garnish for the front grille as we Indians love it. It even features new front and rear bumper protectors, side skirts, wheel arch cladding and body side mouldings. These additional bits lend a crossover-ish appeal to the WagonR.

That's not all, the Xtra Edition also adds chrome garnish on the rear door, number plate area and also around the fog lamps of the WagonR. The car manufacturer is even providing an interior styling kit along with a digital air inflator, trunk organizer and a car charge extender. The company has said that these accessories of the Xtra Edition pack will be fitted to the VXi models of the WagonR at the dealer level. Also, it is worth mentioning that these Maruti's genuine accessories can be brought individually too. But, if brought individually, they will cost almost Rs 33,000. However, as a part of the new Xtra Edition, this accessory pack is available for just Rs 23,000.

Maruti WagonR - Specifications and Price
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR gets a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre petrol engine that churns out 67 PS of power and 90 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out 83 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Both the engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT.
