MG Motor India has announced a new partnership with Attero, India's largest electronic assets management company that also conducts end-of-life battery management. Under this partnership, MG Motor and Attero aim at reusing and recycling Lithium-Ion EV batteries in India.
Electric vehicles are the future of sustainable mobility, however, disposing of end-of-life batteries is a problem which India faces like many other countries around the globe. There are various research and development companies in India that are working towards solving this problem. Attero is one such company that has found out a permanent solution to this battery disposal crisis in India.
Speaking on this new collaboration, Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director of MG Motor India stated that the automaker has been continuously working on expanding the EV infrastructure and mobility space as one of the new EV makers in the country.
He added," This collaboration of MG Motor and Attero provides our customers with more confidence regarding the usage of batteries until they reach their peak ie. end-of-life. This partnership will enable responsible recycling and will further minimise the carbon footprint of ZS EV users while supporting the local economy."

About MG Motors ZS EV 2021:
It was only recently when MG Motors had updated their electric vehicle popularly known in the country as the ZS EV. The ZS Electric SUV gets a revised battery pack. The 44.5kWh battery now provides an increased range of 419km as per the claims of the company. The powertrain, however, remains the same. It produces 141bhp and torque of 350Nm which is impressive. MG Motors has generously increased the ground clearance of the ZS EV. It now gets 177mm of ground clearance and an aspect ratio of 55mm. The rubber is mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.
MG Motors has announced that newer and improved electric vehicles that are budget-friendly, will be released in India by 2022. So, we can expect exciting electric cars in the near future.
