This left the netizens curious that whether Toyota is planning to launch the WagonR-based small car in its Indian portfolio or is it something else. Toyota Hyryder - What is it?
Toyota recently filed a trademark for the name 'Hyryder' in India. The same has been accepted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The description of this trademark reads that the Toyota Hyryder name will be used for automobiles and structural parts. This hints that it might be the name of the upcoming Maruti WagonR-based electric car.

Toyota Hyryder (WagonR EV) - New Images
The new spied images of the upcoming Toyota Hyryder (WagonR EV) has revealed some interesting details. The test mule was uncamouflaged and it reveals that the front fascia of the car is completely identical to the WagonR EV/XL5. It gets all-LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, LED turn indicators, and a new front bumper. The side profile of the car remains unchanged but it gets new alloy wheels with Toyota badges. At the rear, the Toyota WagonR EV gets tweaked bumpers with minor changes and new LED taillamps. Also, you can see in the above image, it doesn't get an exhaust as it's an EV.

Toyota Hyryder (WagonR EV) - Specification and Price
As of now, there are no details about the engine specs of the WagonR EV, however, it is expected to feature a lithium-ion battery pack that can deliver up to 180-200 kilometres of range on a single charge.
