2022 is around the corner, and Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch a series of vehicles next year. Heres the list of all those upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars in India in 2022.
Maruti Suzuki has had some new products lined up for launch. Some of these have been long awaited for release, like the Jimny for example. The Jeep-styled SUV has been the most anticipated product yet to be launched from the manufacturer. Just like that, the Alto will also go through a generation change, so will the Wagon-R, which might see an EV version as well. Some models will also get their respective CNG alternatives, and then theres the partnership with Toyota, which might further result in the launches of an all-new MPV and SUV, as well.
Below here is a list of all the upcoming Maruti Suzuki models that will be launched soon:
Maruti-Suzuki Alto
Marutis most-sold and affordable model, the Alto is expected to go through a generation change. The new model is likely to launch in mid-2022. The current-gen Alto has been on sale since 2012. The new generation has been spied being tested on Indian roads. The new model spied revealed an evolutionary design that is more SUV-ish with tall body stance. The interior is also expected to be refurbished, but the powertrain might remain the same.
Maruti-Suzuki Baleno
The new facelifted design of the Baleno has already been leaked online. The front fascia has been completely redesigned, along with the rear taillights. The front grille also looks bigger and different now. Maruti Suzukis premium hatchback model has always been a family favourite for its generous cabin space. The interior will also see changes, with new elements like a floating infotainment screen, and a lot more. The facelifted Baleno is expected to launch in the first half of 2022, and it will retain the same engine option as well.

Maruti-Suzuki XL6
Slotted in above the Ertiga, the Maruti-Suzuki XL6 is the India marquees most premium MPV. It is also slated for a facelift, and the disguised spied models have already been spotted being tested on Indian roads. The new model is also expected to launch early-2022, at the same time when the Baleno will be launched. The exterior changes include a redesigned grille and restyled bumper, but the interior might remain the same. Same for the powertrain as well, the facelifted XL6 will draw power from the same 1.5-litre petrol engine.
Maruti-Suzuki Ertiga
Just like the XL6, the Ertiga will also go through a facelift, and the new model will launch sometime in mid-2022. Design changes will mostly be restricted to the front bonnet, bumpers, front fascia, and rear fascia. However, the interior will not be going through any changes as such. Just like that, its engine option might remain the same as the 1.5-litre engine option. The petrol engines will also come with mild-hybrid tech, along with the CNG variants, as well.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
The Vitara Brezza is expected to go through a generation and the new model will launch sometime in early-2022. The next-generation Vitara Brezza will be jointly developed by Toyota and Maruti-Suzuki. Production-ready models of the have already been camouflaged, and the design changes are clearly visible. The new model boasts a strong SUV design that looks posher than before. The sleek taillights at the rear, and the sleeker headlights with a new grille design at the front, all come together to create quite an imposing stance. There will also be some additional safety features like multiple airbags, along with new safety features like an infotainment touch screen, sunroof etc.

Maruti Jimny
The Jimny has been one of the most anticipated products that most enthusiasts have been waiting for for quite a long. Thankfully, Maruti-Suzuki is planning to launch this SUV in 2022. The 5-door version of the Jimny will be launched here in India, instead of the three-door version. Spy shots of the model being tested here in India are already available on the internet. The India-bound Jimny will be powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, with a turbo option as well.
Maruti-Suzuki Celerio CNG
Maruti Suzuki already claims that the Celerio is the most fuel-efficient car currently available in the Indian market. So, to tap into the advantage, the Maruti Suzuki will launch its CNG version as well. There will not be many changes as such, except for the powertrain option.
Maruti Suzuki Swift and Dzire (CNG)
Both Swift and Dzire are awaiting their CNG alternative that is expected to launch in the Indian market in early-2022. The cars were already spotted doing road tests in India. There will be no design change as such in the car. And the petrol engine will be the same unit available with Swift and Dzire non-CNG models.

New Midsize SUV and MPV
Both Maruti-Suzuki and Toyota are working on a midsize SUV and midsize MPV. Both these yet-to-be-named SUVs and MPVs will be launching in the second half of 2022. The SUV will be built on Toyotas DNGA platform, and it will replace the S-Cross to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. However, given that Suzuki just launched the updated S-Cross, will the same model launch in India with a Toyota badge or will it be a brand new build remains to be seen. The midsize MPV on the other hand will be based on the same monocoque architecture that houses the Ertiga and XL6 but will be bigger and more feature-packed than the two.
