Hyundai Ioniq 5 - 72.6 kWh - 420 Km
The flagship car of the Korean brand is none other than the Hyundai Ioniq 5. This crossover is available in a single model priced at Rs 46.04 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a 72.6 kWh battery that generates 214 Ps and 350 Nm of torque, powering the rear wheels. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and boasts an acclaimed range of 420 kilometers.
Rolls Royce Spectre - 102 kWh - 530 Km
Last year, the British automaker Rolls-Royce ventured into the diverse world of electric cars by introducing the Spectre, a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Wraith. Automotive experts couldn't stop praising the Spectre, with some even calling it the best electric vehicle ever. This coupe is equipped with a 102 kWh battery and a twin motor setup placed at both axles, producing 585 PS and 900 Nm of torque. The maximum range of the Spectre is an impressive 530 km.
Mercedes Benz EQE SUV - 90.56 kWh - 550 Km
The largest electric SUV from the three-pointed star brand comes in a single trim, featuring a 90.56 kWh battery with a dual motor setup producing 408 Ps and 858 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Mercedes claims the vehicle has an acclaimed range between 465 km and 550 km. The ex-showroom price of this electric SUV is Rs 1.39 Crore.
Audi Q8 e-tron /Sportback - 95 kWh to 114 kWh - 491 km to 582 km
The electric Audi comes in two body shapes: a regular SUV and a sportback. Their prices differ, but both share the same powertrains. Both models come with an AWD drivetrain and offer two battery packs. The first is a 95 kWh pack that produces 340 Ps and 664 Nm of torque, with an acclaimed range of 491 km.
On the other hand, the second option is a 114 kWh battery that delivers 408 Ps and 664 Nm of torque, offering a range of 582 km. The first model is called the EV 50 Quattro, while the second one is the EV 55 Quattro. The Q8 e-tron starts at Rs 1.14 crore and goes up to Rs 1.27 crore ex-showroom. Meanwhile, the Sportback variant costs between Rs 1.19 crore and Rs 1.31 crore.
BMW i4 - 83.9 kWh - 590 Km
The electrified version of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe (not available in India) features an 83.9 kWh battery pack powering the rear wheels, delivering 340 Ps and 430 Nm of torque. BMW claims the electric range of this vehicle is up to 590 km. The ex-showroom price of the i4 is Rs 80.33 lakh.
Porsche Macan Turbo Electric - 95 kWh - 591 Km
Launched in early 2024, the Macan Turbo electric uses a dual motor setup with a 95 kWh battery to produce 639 Ps and 1,130 Nm of max torque with launch control. The electric range of this vehicle is 591 km as per WLTP. As a performance SUV, it is totally focused on that area, completing 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 260 km/h.
BMW i7 - 101.7 kWh - 625 km
Thisluxury electric sedan, BMW i7 is available in India in only one variant, the xDrive60 M Sport. It features a 101.7 kWh lithium-ion battery with a range of 591 km to 625 km on the WLTP cycle. Additionally, it delivers 544 Ps and 745 Nm of torque with an all-wheel-drive setup. The i7 is priced at Rs 2.3 crore ex-showroom.
BYD Seal - 61.44 kWh - 650 Km
The premium sedan from BYD, the world's largest manufacturer of EVs, comes with a standard 61.44 kWh battery pack. Additionally, there's a long-range version available with an 82.56 kWh battery.
According to BYD's official site, the Seal long-range model offers an impressive range of 650 km. The seal starts at Rs 41 lakh and the top spec model is available at Rs 53 lakh.
Kia EV6 - 77.4 kWh - 708 Km
This futuristic-looking electric car starts at Rs 60.96 lakh and is equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery available in both single and dual motor setups. The single motor delivers 229 Ps and 350 Nm of torque to the rear wheels, while the dual motor variant produces 325 Ps and 605 Nm, distributing power to all four wheels. According to WLTP standards, the EV6 offers a maximum range of 708 kilometers.
Mercedes Benz EQS - 107.8 kWh - 872 Km
Mercedes hit the ball out of the park with the EQS 580 4Matic. This model features a 107.8 kWh battery with an ARAI-tested range of 872 km. The dual motor setup delivers 516 Ps and 855 Nm of torque to all wheels. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h.
Mercedes - AMG EQS 53 4Matic - 107.8 kWh - 580 km
Let's talk about the AMG version, the EQS 53 4Matic Plus, which produces 761 Ps and 1020 Nm of torque. This model uses the same 107.8 kWh battery pack, but its range is between 526 km and 580 km. The top speed of this vehicle is 250 km/h, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.

Verdict
These 10 electric cars have the largest battery packs in India and all offer impressive ranges. However, the Kia EV6 stands out with its striking specifications. Starting at Rs 60 lakh, it offers a range of 708 km, which is significantly higher than cars that are twice its price. If more vehicles like these become available in India, the pace of the electric vehicle market will grow tenfold in just a few years.
