MG Comet EV
The Comet EV is known as the perfect metro car due to its compact size and excellent features. This 4-seater starts at Rs 7.36 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. It is equipped with a 17.3 kWh battery pack, producing 41 PS and 110 Nm of torque. This ev offers a range of 230 km, ideal for city driving. However, fast charging is not available; it can only be charged via an AC charger, taking approximately 7 to 8 hours to fully charge.

Tata Tiago EV
This electric hatchback starts at Rs 7.99 lakh, with the top model priced at Rs 12.59 lakh. There are five variants available. Tata offers the Tiago EV with two different motors: the standard version, called the Medium Range, has a 19.2 kWh battery pack, while the Long Range version boasts a 24 kWh battery. The standard battery pack provides a range of 250 km, while the long-range battery can go up to 315 km.
The 7.2 kWh AC charger will take the standard battery from 0 to 100 percent in 2.6 hours and the long-range battery in 3.6 hours. Additionally, the DC fast charger can charge both batteries in just 58 minutes.

Citroen eC3
Kudos to Citroen for making their C3 into EV and coming up with impressive 320 km of range with a 29.2 kWh battery pack. This sub-compact electric SUV starts at Rs 12.76 lakh, with the top model priced at Rs 13.56 lakh ex-showroom. Citroen states it will take 10 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge using a normal home charging unit, while a DC fast charger can take it from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 57 minutes.
The electric motor produces 57 PS and 143 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 107 km/h. Also, the company offer 125000 km of warranty on eC3.

Tata Tigor EV
This elder sister of the Tiago is quite expensive, starting at Rs 12.49 lakh, with the top model priced at Rs 13.75 lakh. The motor specifications are the same as the Tiago, but here you only get the 26 kWh battery, not the 19.2 kWh one. As a result, it offers a range of 315 km. The maximum power output is 74.7 PS and 170 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

Tata Punch EV
India's best-selling SUV and electric car is none other than the Tata Punch EV. This car starts at Rs 9.99 lakh, with the top model priced at Rs 14.29 lakh. Surprisingly, there are 20 variants on offer, with options for medium and long-range batteries. If you're looking for a trim with a good amount of features and the long-range battery, I suggest the "Empowered Long Range 3.3" trim. The ex-showroom price of this model is Rs 13.99 lakh, but after taxes, it will cost you around Rs 14.89 lakh.
The Punch EV's standard battery pack is 25 kWh, producing 80 PS and 114 Nm of torque, with a range of 315 km. The long-range version has a 35 kWh battery, delivering 121 PS and 190 Nm of torque, with a range of 421 km. Both battery options support AC and DC fast charging.

Tata Nexon EV
The most expensive electric car on the list is the Tata Nexon EV, starting at Rs 12.49 lakh, with the top model priced at Rs 16.49 lakh. Six trims are available under Rs 15 lakh which also includes one long range model. This vehicle features a 30 kWh battery pack, producing 127.39 PS and 215 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and has a top speed of 125 km/h. The range is 325 km, and it takes 10.25 hours to fully charge using a regular charger.
It is also compatible with DC fast charging, which takes 56 minutes to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent. Additionally, the 7.2 kWh AC home wallbox charger requires 4.3 hours to charge from 10 percent to 100 percent.

MG Windsor EV
The latest addition to this list is the MG Windsor EV, a unique CUV that starts at Rs 13,49,800 ex-showroom. It features a 38 kWh battery pack that delivers 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque, providing a range of 331 km. According to the MG official website, it takes 13.8 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent. Regarding fast charging, it takes 6.5 hours with a 7.4 kW charger.
The most intersting thing about this vehicle is its 'Battery As A Service' (BaaS) scheme, which means, owners have to pay extra for their battery and the amount is Rs 3.5 per km. To add more, before the battery pack, this ev introductory price was Rs 9.99 lakh.
